Biblical principals of prosperity
24. June 2018 at 15:28
These biblical principles of prosperity are available to all, they are effective and work powerfully for every child of God. Knowing these principles and working by them gives you access to your prosperity here on earth.
Remember, God did not create you here on earth to suffer. He made everything and set them in place before he brought you forth and gave all of them to you as a man (Genesis 1, 2:7-15). All God created were for our consumption except the tree of life and that of knowledge of good and evil which he commanded the man not to eat and when man fell, the Devil took over the god of the earth, controlling all the things we were supposed to control (Luke 4:5-8, 2 Corinthians 4:4).

But praise be to God for Jesus who has collected and given us back authority to take back everything that is rightfully ours. So listen, salvation does not make you naked nor does it make you shoeless, salvation gives you back what you owned, in other words, what is rightfully yours.

Many reasons why some Christians are poor:
1. They don’t truly know the God they serve
2. They don’t know who they are in God
3. They are not aware of our inheritance in Christ
4. Ignorance of biblical principles of prosperity

Listen to this wonderful story my brother (O.G.I) told me, about a boy named John whose mother dried groundnut in the open field unknowingly to John. John came back from school hungry and found Peter, their neighbor eating the groundnut, so he begged Peter to give him some to eat but peter refused and he cried all the way home. When evening came, it was time for John’s mother to gather her groundnut from the field, so she called her son John to go and get them, and John was shocked at the time he got to know the groundnut was his.

This is what the devil will continue to do to all children of God that do not know what they have in Christ Jesus.

1. The god we serve
Regarding this topic let’s see the kind of God that we serve
“The silver is mine and the gold is mine, declares the Lord Almighty.” (Haggai 2:8)
“The earth is the Lord’s, and everything in it, the world, and all who live in it” (Psalm 24:1)
“For every animal of the forest is mine, and the cattle on a thousand hills. I know every bird in the mountains, and the insects in the fields are mine. If I were hungry I would not tell you, for the world is mine, and all that is in it.” (Psalm 50:10-12)

2. Who are we in Christ?
“Yet to all who did receive him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God” (John 1:12)
“You, dear children, are from God and have overcome them, because the one who is in you is greater than the one who is in the world.” (1 John 4:4)
“But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God’s special possession, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light.” (1 Peter 2:9)

3. Our inheritance in Christ
“Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! In his great mercy he has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, and into an inheritance that can never perish, spoil or fade. This inheritance is kept in heaven for you, who through faith are shielded by God’s power until the coming of the salvation that is ready to be revealed in the last time.” (1 Peter 1:3-5)

4. Biblical principles of prosperity
Sowing and Reaping
The idea of sowing and reaping cannot be over emphasized. As we all know, this principle can never stop as long as the earth remains, definitely every seed sown grows up into multitude of members (Genesis 8:22, Matthew 13:32, John 12:42b, 2 Corinthians 9:10).

Giving
When you give to others you make deposits in other accounts. Giving to others is a way of lending to God who owns everything and you know, God who owns everything cannot be a debtor so he will pay you back (2 Corinthians 9:7-8, Proverbs 18:16,11:25, Luke 6:30,38).

Tithes and Offerings
Tithes as we all know is the 10% of all our incomes allocated to God while offering is from our freewill. This principle is a key that unlocks heaven’s prosperity upon a man. A faithful tither can never run dry because upon such person is open heaven (Malachi 3:10-12, Proverbs 3:9-10).

Willingness and Obedience to God and His word
“If you are willing and obedient, you will eat the good things of the land.” (Isaiah 1:19).

Trust/Delight in the Lord and in His law
“But blessed is the one who trusts in the LORD, whose confidence is in him. They will be like a tree planted by the water that sends out its roots by the stream. It does not fear when heat comes; its leaves are always green. It has no worries in a year of drought and never fails to bear fruit.” (Jeremiah 17:7-8).

Diligence in work
All the above principles are very effective but mind you, God does not encourage laziness, get up and work and God will bless the work of your hands. Don’t sleep on your bed and expect heaven to shower you with blessings, work and be diligent with what you do and the Lord will grant you the power to make wealth (2 Thess. 3:7,10-11, Titus 3:14, 1 Thess. 4:11-12, Deut. 8:18 Ps. 90:17, Deut. 28:12, Pro. 22:29)

My brother once said “Success is directly proportional to hard work, provided prayer remains constant.” God has not created you to be poor. Go to God and experience divine prosperity, take what is rightfully yours from the devil, and don’t allow him to cheat on you.

My prayer for you
I pray for you that your threshing floors will be filled with grain; your vats will overflow with new wine and oil. God will repay you for the years the locusts have eaten – the great locust and the young locust, the other locusts and the locust swarm. You will have plenty to eat, until you are full, and you will praise the name of the Lord your God, who has worked wonders for you; never again will you be shamed. Then you will know that God is truly God and that there is no other; never again will you be shamed. In Jesus name. Amen.
