On the auspicious occasion of International Youth Day 2018, Youth Thinkers' Society-Lamjung organized Panel Discussion on "Safe Space for Youth" between the representatives of Local Youth Clubs and the representatives of the local government, District Youth Committee and different youth activist at Pipalbot Resort, Sundarbazar Lamjung. This program was supported by VSO ICS , District Youth Committee, Sarbodaya Sewa Aashram and COPPADES.

With the vision of interacting youth with the local bodies, the platform was so set that the youth can freely express the problem that they are facing despites all the efforts carried out. There was participation of 60 youths including the representation from 11 local youth clubs. The program was divided into two sections. The first half was Panel discussion and group discussion on the second half. Various questions were asked to panelist regarding youth education, entrepreneurship, self-reliance, employment and technical field.

During the panel sessions, intensive situation was created by the overflow of question to the mayor by the enthusiastic youths. Mayor of Besisahar Municipality stated that he will be working on youth mobilization analyzing the scenario of youths in the near future. Speaking on the queries office head of District Youth Committee Narayan Regmi stated that education so provided by different institutions to youths are job oriented after graduation which should be replaced by providing technical education. Even they fortify the youth to aid morally and financially. President of District youth committee stated out that the organization working in the field of youths should unite together for better and effective outcomes.

On the next half, group discussion was carried out. The youths were asked to state the strength, weakness, opportunity and threats they were possessing. They proposed hydropower projects, tourism, beautiful scenario of Lamjung, agriculture and livestock rearing as opportunities while involvement of youth in narcotics, lack of youth awareness, brain-drain problem as threats. They discussed on what could be done by youth so that they can be contribute to further development of the society and the nation.
